Rien’s partner, Lynn, brought a calligraphy practice pad from a recent trip to China. Using just a brush and water, we made bold, black-ink-like drawings of nocturnal animals that vanished after five minutes. Before they disappeared, we quickly photocopied them, preserving the fleeting moments.
