For over three years, the Pink House has been a vibrant hub of creativity and community at Italiëlei 63, 2000 Antwerp. We organized a variety of events, including exhibitions, talks, book releases, residencies, cinema screenings, concerts, dinners, and temporary cafés.
Our last event was dedicated to moving out of this beloved house.
We view our house as a portal to new adventures and possibilities. Moving out symbolizes our readiness to explore new routes and become mobile. It is an opportunity to go somewhere else, do something different, and embrace new beginnings. This event marked our 5th ‘mobile exhibition’ format, but it can also be viewed as number 0—Zero representing a new beginning, a circular number.
For this special occasion, we gathered contributions from individuals we worked with, respected, loved, or got to know during our time in the house. Their practices are closely connected to our theme.
This magazine features a variety of unique prints and very limited editions within this already limited PHp#0. Highlights include: analog pictures of the house by Vijai Patchinelaam printed on wallpaper (in each edition a different set of pictures and wallpaper). A dinner with over 15 people were they were asked to write or draw on their placemats (some drawn with pen, others with food) which we than afterwards printed on our machine, this you can find in the back of the magazine. A beautifully crafted 9 layer print by Johan Kauth whom masters the photocopymachine like no other. A portal drawing by J.Krissis! A Nice set of drawings by Valgerður Sigurðardóttir, A real portal by Lynn Depreeuw & Rien Schellemans, And so on…!
Hope you enjoy this journey through the Portal!
